Note: All donations are entitled to exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act of 1961 vide Certificate No. DIT(E)2011-2012/S-6461/520. That means that, donations to STRAW qualify for 50% tax exemption in India. For instance, if you donate INR 1,000/- to STRAW, you could claim INR 500/- deduction from your taxable income.
